Billy Joel is a beloved musician and his concerts are sought after events, especially in Joel’s native New York. But sadly the “Vienna” singer has had to cancel his most recent tour after a health diagnosis that could put “The Piano Man” legend at risk.
In a statement posted on Joel’s social media accounts, it was announced that Joel has Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, also known as NPH. The condition, according to the Alzheimer’s Association, is known as “a brain disorder in which excess cerebrospinal fluid accumulates in the brain’s ventricles.” The statement says that Joel’s recent tour has made the condition harder for Joel to perform.
