How would I go about getting this finish/color on mahogany?

I haven’t been in the game since Reranch closed down. Any color/technique advice is greatly appreciated!

Its basically untreated or lightly sanded wood i guess. No sealer. You can like moisture the raw wood top to lift the fibres in the wood, let it dry and then just add lacquer straight on top.

To me that looks like they applied a very dark grain filler, then a pickling finish or milk paint, sanded it down a bit to let the grain filler …
