What are mega cap stocks?
Mega cap stocks refer to the stocks of those companies that have a market capitalization of $200 billion or more.
These are companies that sit at the highest spectrum and are not just big players in their sector but completely dominate their space in terms of market share.
These companies have been operating for multiple years, if not decades, and have seen stable growth over the years.
With ample funds, market strongholds, and market security, their stocks can withstand all market conditions and keep providing steady returns to investors.
(Explained in detail in the video)
Mega cap vs large cap
Large cap stocks have a market cap of $10 billion to $200 billion, and companies with a market cap of $200 billion or more fall under the mega cap category. That’s the key difference between the two.
Both stocks are massive, as both have billions of dollars in market capitalization, but mega cap stocks are the biggest of them all.
Compared to large cap stocks, the mega cap stocks will have much more steady growth and have much more volume, for obvious reasons.
